| amy got married yesterday... at 2:00 p.m. i didn't cry... but i feel like all the emotional turmoil is still building and will lead to a good sob by the end of this week, so anyone who plans to see me in the next few days.. beware! :) haha. i am SO happy for her and for the new man in her life, marshall. he's a wonderful man and i know they will be very happy. i think the thing that makes me emotional is just knowing that for the past 10 years that we have grown up together and been through everything from playing against each other in soccer at age 13, being taught math by her mom at age 16, numerous slumber parties and bowling at Harding's old bowling alley, senior high school trip to Florida and Houston, Sears dorm days, overseas programs, same classes - same major, etc.... we have done it all together. and all of it has led up to this point in her life... we've always talked about this moment in time and now it's come and gone. my best friend has found her best friend, her permanent life-long best friend. that's what i want... but until then, there's a little void by knowing that things won't ever be the same.
meanwhile, here's a little glimpse of her and i yesterday... five minutes before she walked down the aisle to become amy s.

| my weekend in a nutshell: sunburned nose and scratched legs.
this weekend consisted of one flat tire (same one that just supposedly got fixed but that's a long story for later maybe), one trip to Magic Springs on Saturday, one trip to the lake on Sunday, six dogs and four cats to pet sit for, two roommates to hang out with at home, five amazing girls to go to the lake with, and one fabulous family to go to the amusement park with. for everything else, there's NOT Mastercard... Credit card's are the devil, i'm convinced.
anyway, i LOVE the weekends and i LOVE being outside. there's nothing better. hiking, swimming, biking, canoeing, skating... i love it all.
getting excited about the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert on Friday. should be AMAZING! :)
| ok, Spring River was amazing!!! Rebecca and I had our own canoe and declared from the beginning that we would be tipping over quite a bit since it was the first time for us both. however, we didn't flip once!! we even went down Dead Man's Curve backwards... yes, that would consist of me (in the back) taking the brunt of it. :) but it was good times and i didn't get hurt or sunburned... in fact, it's turned to a nice tan.
renee and i just booked tickets to go to the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert. we're pretty excited about this one... we've been debating about whether to go or not. i think it will be pretty amazing. i respect these singers a lot. they've got a good thing going on between them and their family.
i have a new crush and i'm not really sure what to do about it. i've been having a debate about it with some of my single girl friend's about whether or not to go with my initial inclination, which is to just act nonchanlant and wait for something to happen if it's supposed to but i've been hearing from other sources lately that i need to take a little action and let him know. what do i do?
| i'm about to leave to float the Spring River... yay! :) i'm really excited about this trip. i'm going with Audra, Ally, Shelly, Hally and Rebecca. it's been a LONG time since i canoed... probably about three years. it's going to be an interesting day. haha. | | |
| i finally got my "new" tire put on my car today... and it's probably the cheapest tire you done ever heard tell of... it was $24.04. thanks, God, for helping me out in ways i don't expect.
my roommates are gone all week to music camp in Russellville so i'm a bit lonely... oh well, such is life.
